Caballo Negro Energy Announces New
Ownership and Management

San Diego, California
July 14, 2009

Caballo Negro Energy announces the acquisition of Distribudoras De La Energia of Dallas, TX, manufacturer and distributor of Caballo Negro – Black Horse Energy Drink.

The company was acquired by a private entrepreneur who also assumed executive leadership of the new organization. The acquisition included all assets of Distribudoras De La Energia, including the Caballo Negro Energy Drink brand and intellectual property, as well as contracts and remaining product inventory.

As recently as 2008, Caballo Negro was the fastest growing energy drink in its market segment, with an extremely strong consumer base among Latino energy drink consumers. With the change in ownership, and under the direction of an experienced leadership team, the brand is expected to rebound quickly.

"The new product web site is already getting flooded with requests by consumers asking where they can find the product," said Jorge Olsen, Brand Manager and Acting VP of Sales and Marketing. "Distributors are lining up as well, and we are optimistic that Caballo Negro will quickly regain its market position and be poised for sustained growth in the near future."
